Adventurous Activities

Adventurous Activities

From heart-pounding challenges to quiet mood changing pursuits the Cypress Hills offers something fun for every adventure seeker.  Experience the Cypress Hills on horseback, take a treetop zipline tour, or stroll along a quiet trail to experience the lodgepole pine forest. Kids and families will love the variety of things to do from interpretive and art programs, amphitheatre drama, and leisure pool fun to paddling a canoe on Loch Leven. Try the geocache challenge and discover secret caches in places others won’t see. Golfers can change their course each day with several golf courses in the park and area each offering unique challenging fairways. For the mini-golfer a truly fun course awaits you.

Pack your fly rod for fishing in the Cypress Hills area. It is some of the best trout fishing on the prairies. Night crawlers will love the starry views of the Dark Sky Preserve from the Observatory. The tennis court and auto tours are popular here, and in wintertime, cross-country skiers can wind their way through 17 km of groomed trails.  Take a ride on the go carts, the newest activity just outside of the park entry gate.
