Located in the townsite of Elkwater, along the lake. Visitor Centre approximately 2.0km from Hwy #41 turnoff, beside Camp Cookhouse and General Store, just past the marina and beach.

Visitor Centre Hours:

Monday & Tuesday - Closed   

Wednesday to Sunday - 11:00am - 4:00pm 

Campground Booth Hours:   

Saturday to Wednesday -  9:00am - 4:30pm

Thursday & Friday - 9:00am - 8:30pm 

Boat & Bike Hours: Closed

Equestrian

Horseback is one of the best ways to explore the Cypress Hills around Elkwater. The vistas of the Sweetgrass Hills to the South and the seemingly never ending grass lands to the North are something you won’t see anywhere else.

The Alberta side of the park is expanding its equestrian friendly facilities and now has Spring Creek Equestrian Campground with dedicated Corrals and Randon Camping. corrals and overnight stays are by reservation only. a link can be found below.  Users access at the Spring Creek Trail System with access to some 140km of trails. you can contact the visitor centre for more information 403-893-3833

 

The Historic Reesor Ranch gives an authentic feel to your Equestrian trip to the park with its Cowboy Comfort and Western Hospitality.
